HBO level of work and thinking
A HBO (higher professional education) degree in the field of mechanical engineering;
5-10 years of demonstrable relevant work experience, preferably in the oil or gas industry;
Engineering / project experience in the mechanical field;
Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Working on the reliability of the future
As a Project Engineer Mechanical, you will be part of the project team within the Projects department that is involved in the development, design, and adaptation of new process systems and production installations. You will be responsible for the Mechanical discipline within the project and you will organize and supervise both the engineering and the physical realization within the projects. You will do this on the basis of the stated requirements and government regulations within the project plans. You report to the Project Manager.

In this position, your activities mainly consist of;
Defining and elaborating assignments and projects from concept to realization
Providing support during physical realization and delivery of projects
Organizing and planning activities around engineering and the execution of studies
Assessing delivered engineering
Equipment package responsible (quality control and supplier follow-up)
Evaluating and selecting (sub)contractors and suppliers
Construction management
Leading (sub)projects
Advising regarding the application of technical developments
Compliance with and supervision of legal and company obligations and procedures in the field of HSSEQ.

The projects department of Gate terminal consists of a relatively young team of approximately seven technical specialists. The Projects department develops multidisciplinary technical projects. Assignments are carried out in such a way that they are realized on time and within the budgeted costs and meet the requirements and (government) regulations within the focus areas of Civil, Control & Instrumentation, Electrical, Piping, and Mechanical.
