Operational Management Traineeship for Recent MBO Graduates

Westfort Vleesproducten is a family business that has specialized in pork processing for generations. With activities divided across three divisions/locations, we are dedicated to innovation and sustainability in the Dutch meat sector. From slaughtering and processing in IJsselstein to producing a wide range of meat products in Hedel, and processing pre-packaged fresh meat in Oudewater, we strive for excellence in every aspect of our business.

This traineeship is designed for recent MBO graduates who are interested in operational leadership roles within the food/meat production industry. Over a period of 1.5 years, you will immerse yourself in our operations through three different phases, each designed to refine your skills and provide hands-on experience:

Phase 1: Introduction Period

Begin your journey with an in-depth introduction to Westfort's operations at one of our locations. Learn about our core processes, products, and work culture.

Phase 2: Practical Assignments

Dive into various production departments with practical assignments lasting 12 to 16 weeks. Acquire valuable insights into specific processes while receiving training in LEAN management principles.

Phase 3: Practical Operational Leadership

Complete your traineeship by taking on a leadership role in one of our production departments. Work together with mentors to find the role that best fits your skills and aspirations.
