Westfort Vleesproducten is a Dutch family business with a long history in the pork sector. We buy our pigs directly from Dutch pig farmers - many of whom are also family businesses - and process them into meat and meat products for customers in the Netherlands, Europe, and far beyond. In recent years, we have grown into an innovative company of global scale with approximately 1,600 employees, spread across our locations in IJsselstein, Oudewater, and Hedel.
Our main location in IJsselstein is completely newly built and is among the most modern production locations in the sector. Here, the entire process takes place at one location: from slaughterhouse and meat processing to storage in our own cold storage facility. In Oudewater, we produce and package consumer products for, among others, the Dutch retail sector. In Hedel, we make artisanal meat products.
Westfort has grown large, but still operates like a family business. The lines are short, we are down-to-earth, and people are given a lot of responsibility. We continuously invest in our employees, production locations, and technology.
