Working student, intern or graduate student Civil Engineering/ Sustainability

Are you an HBO or WO student and do you want to gain relevant work experience within civil engineering alongside your studies, or are you looking for an internship or graduation assignment? Within Holland Scherm, you will be directly involved in challenging projects in the field of noise barriers, specialist concrete work, quay constructions, and bridges?

As a working student, intern, or graduate student, you will get the chance to actively participate within our projects and business operations. Depending on your studies and interests, you will get to work on:

• Supporting project managers, work preparers, and site managers.

• Collecting and analyzing project data.

• Supporting sustainability issues and innovations.

• Thinking along about circular construction methods and CO₂ reduction.

• Preparing projects and drafting reports.

• Visiting project locations throughout the Netherlands.

• Contributing to improvements within our organization and projects.

• You are following an HBO or WO education in, for example:

  • Civil Engineering

  • Built Environment

  • Technical Business Administration

  • Sustainability

  • Architecture/Building Technology

  • Infrastructure Design & Management

• As a working student, you are available at least 2 days per week

• You have an interest in civil infrastructure and sustainability

• You are curious, proactive, and entrepreneurial

• You enjoy being present both in the office and outside on projects

• A challenging and flexible side job alongside your studies or an interesting internship or graduation assignment

• Working on projects that are visible throughout the Netherlands.

About Holland Scherm & BKB Infra
Located 5 minutes from the center of Gouda, you will find the office of Holland Scherm. The atmosphere within our office is best described as familial with a healthy dose of ambition. Colleagues care a lot about each other and are happy to help each other wherever possible. The active staff association ensures that dinners and other activities take place regularly.

In addition to noise barriers, Holland Scherm has specialized in small-scale civil engineering concrete works and (urban) quay wall constructions. This varies from the foundation of masts, underpinning roundabouts, and liquid-tight floors in industry to bicycle tunnels and bridges. We advise, design, build, and maintain. Additionally, we provide complete project management, including coordination with stakeholders and local residents. We are therefore proud of our projects such as: replacement of noise barriers A10, maintenance contract Schiphol, N247 Maintenance passage Broek in Waterland, and Leidse Ring Noord.

BKB Infra has been specialized for more than a hundred years in the design, development, and construction of concrete pavements. Concrete roads, paths, roundabouts, and platforms that fit into the environment. In various colors and with different finishes, everything is possible.
