• A completed education in Civil Engineering or another relevant field of study;

• At least 3 years of work experience as a Site Planner, Project Coordinator, or similar position;

As a Civil Engineering Site Planner at Ballast Nedam, you will work within the South Holland Tunnels Programme (PTZ): a large-scale, multi-year portfolio project in which several tunnels in the Rotterdam and South Holland region are being renovated and future-proofed, currently focusing on the execution phase of the Noordtunnel (A15).

Within this programme, you are not merely involved in a single project, but become part of a strategic and integrated tunnel programme, in close cooperation with Rijkswaterstaat. You are fully present within the scope from start to finish and make a direct contribution to the accessibility of one of the busiest regions in the Netherlands.

The emphasis in your role lies clearly on execution and realization. You look ahead and make the work feasible: what is needed, what must happen, and how are we going to realize this safely and efficiently within a complex, operational environment?

What will you do?

• Preparing and supervising concrete repair works on tunnel structures;

• Work preparation for the modification and renovation of service buildings;

• Elaborating works on entrance and approach facilities and traffic measures;

• Drafting and monitoring a realistic schedule and phasing;

• Translating design and requirements into a practical and executable working method;

• Coordinating with execution regarding materials, equipment, personnel, and safety;

• Coordinating suppliers and subcontractors, with a focus on progress and feasibility;

• Supporting calculations and cost monitoring;

• Identifying bottlenecks, risks, and optimizations towards realization.
