Requirements

What we're looking for

  • You are currently a student (HBO/WO or MBO 4)
  • You are available for at least 2 days per week, but more hours are desired
  • You work accurately and in a structured manner
  • You are stress-resistant and can switch effectively between tasks
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language
  • You have an affinity with laboratory work or a life sciences background (a plus, not a must)
  • You are proactive and not afraid to ask questions

The role

Eurofins Scientific is an international listed life sciences company that provides customers with high-quality laboratory testing and advice. Globally, Eurofins is a market leader in bio-analytical testing for, among others, food, water, environment, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. Additionally, Eurofins is one of the largest providers of testing and laboratory services in genomics, forensics, CDMO, advanced material sciences, drug development, and clinical studies.

With more than 65,000 employees, 950 laboratories in 59 countries, and a turnover of €7.3 billion (2025), Eurofins continues to grow strongly through innovation, organic growth, and strategic acquisitions.

Eurofins' Dutch environmental laboratories offer a wide range of chemical, physical, and biological analyses in all environmental matrices. From our locations in Amsterdam (Eurofins Omegam) and Barneveld (Eurofins Analytico), approximately 600 experts manage the entire process from sampling to reporting.

What you'll do

Are you a student who doesn't want to sit still, but rather wants to gain relevant work experience within a dynamic laboratory environment? For our project bureau in Amersfoort, we are looking for working students to join our team in the short term.

Do you have a background in life sciences, chemistry, or another lab-related study? Then that is a plus. But even if you are studying something else and have an interest in working in a process-oriented and accurate manner, we invite you to apply.

What will you do?

As a working student within the project bureau, you will support the coordination and processing of research assignments. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the process between the client, logistics, and the laboratory.

You will therefore work at the intersection of administration, logistics, and content – an ideal combination if you want to discover how laboratory processes work in practice.

Your duties include:

  • Registering and checking incoming assignments and samples
  • Checking for completeness and flagging deviations
  • Processing data and results in systems
  • Supporting the release and preparation of samples for shipment
  • Liaising with colleagues from logistics and the laboratory
  • Thinking along about process improvements

What do we offer you?

  • An educational summer job within a professional project bureau
  • Insight into the world of laboratory research and project coordination
  • An informal working atmosphere with engaged colleagues
  • Good guidance and room to develop yourself
  • Market-conform compensation
