What we're looking for

HBO+/University degree in Civil Engineering, preferably in a geotechnical direction, with at least 10 years of experience in soil improvement and foundation techniques and relevant knowledge of practical execution
You work independently, are theoretically well-versed, and think in a solution-oriented manner, with a persistent and improvement-oriented attitude
Strong communicator and versatile: you speak just as easily with clients and designing parties as with our executors and skilled tradespeople
Strong written skills, eager to learn, and with an affinity for digitalization
Knowledge of jet grouting, soil injection, excavated walls, and/or material technology (grout, bentonite) is a plus
Good command of the English language

What you'll get

A gross monthly salary (based on 40 hours) of € 5,900 to € 7,600 - based on your background and experience

The role

Are you an experienced technical specialist with a sharp eye for complex foundation issues? Then we are looking for you at VSF. At VSF, we are looking for a skilled technical specialist in foundation and soil improvement techniques, particularly in the fields of jet grouting, soil injection, and/or excavation techniques.

As a technical specialist in foundation and soil improvement techniques, you will work on diverse foundation projects throughout the Netherlands. Important fields of work for VSF include urban construction pits under difficult conditions, foundations and quay walls in hydraulic engineering, and construction pits or foundation techniques for large infrastructural projects. With our specialized foundation techniques, such as jet grouting, soil injection, excavated walls, CSM, anchoring techniques, bored piles, and large (offshore) piling work, we have a solution for every foundation problem.

What you'll do

As a technical specialist, you fall under the Design, Engineering, and Innovation department, consisting of five fellow technical specialists and five designers. You will work extensively on or for our projects and will be part of one or more project teams. You are the intermediary between design (theory) and execution (practice): you translate complex and abstract foundation problems into clear theory and practically executable solutions.

As a technical specialist in foundation techniques, your activities include:

Devising the most suitable working methods for a client request
Developing and innovating in the fields of materials, equipment, and monitoring
Following market developments in the field of improvement and innovation of foundation techniques, materials, and equipment
Providing specific execution parameters for our techniques to work preparation and execution
Prescribing working methodologies and consulting with clients and our execution team about them
Supporting execution in the event of problems and deviations
