What you'll get

Working at DNW means working in a national and international high-tech environment. Collaboration and commitment are highly valued by us. By giving you freedom and personal responsibility, you are best able to achieve groundbreaking innovations. Do you want to develop yourself both professionally and personally? That is also possible at DNW as a learning organization, supplemented by a training budget, a mentor, internal coaches, and good contacts with vocational, applied sciences, and universities.

In addition to all this, we offer you:

· The opportunity to contribute to complex and socially relevant issues;

· Sufficient holiday and ATV days (45 in total for full-time employment) for a good work-life balance;

· An end-of-year bonus of 8%;

· An allowance for your healthcare costs;

• Extra paid parental leave;

• The possibility to develop yourself with training and courses that match your ambitions.

The role

As Technical Facilities Team Leader, you are responsible for the optimal functioning and development of a team consisting of approximately 10-15 employees distributed across the Amsterdam and Marknesse locations.

The Facilities team is a new team that will focus on the maintenance and further preservation and development of our wind tunnel facilities and related infrastructure. You will need to work closely with the Tunnel Operations team, which will focus on the operation of the wind tunnels and the technical execution part.

Our facilities are unique, technically high-end, and possess a rich history. Many facilities have only been in use for decades and have been adapted and expanded over the years. Not all changes have been equally well documented. Therefore, there is a beautiful professionalization task: further mapping and documenting our facilities and thereby building a solid foundation for future-proof management and maintenance.

At the Amsterdam location, you will be supported by a local facility coordinator.

What you'll do

As Facilities Team Leader at DNW, you will lead a team of employees and, together with your team, ensure the optimal availability and safety of the DNW facilities and infrastructural provisions. Where necessary, you will support the execution of wind tunnel projects and other projects with knowledge and system-specific input.

Team responsibilities

• Facility-related engineering, including approval and archiving of construction drawings and related technical documents;

• Responsibility for all measurement and control systems regarding the operation of tunnel facilities and related systems;

• Maintenance, preservation, and development of facilities and management of buildings and energy infrastructure;

• Identification and registration of required spare parts, equipment, and materials for workshops;

• Responsibility for access control, security systems, and fire protection systems;

• Supporting safety and health in collaboration with QHSE;

• CE marking of facility-related systems.

Specific responsibilities of the Team Leader

• Leading a team of employees and realizing project and work agreements;

• Monitoring the availability and safety of the facilities and working environment, as well as initiating improvements in processes, systems, and information provision in the field of facility matters;

• Risk assessment of systems and translating this into maintenance and investment proposals;

• Ensuring continuous development, safeguarding of knowledge and experience, and improvement of employee performance;

• As a member of the Management Team, you contribute directly to the long-term strategy of DNW.

You are a connector with a passion for technology and people. You understand the language of engineers, but also feel at home in a strategic management environment. Your style is coaching and facilitating; you give your people the space to grow and take responsibility. Knowledge of measurement and control systems in an operational context is a plus.
