Civil Engineering Work Preparation Internship in Groningen

As a student of Civil Engineering, Middle Management professional, or similar looking for a working internship? At Van Hattum en Blankevoort, we are looking for an intern for the work preparation of a new high-voltage substation in Vierverlaten for February 2027.

During your internship, do you want to do more than just observe, but actually work on a civil engineering project? On our project in Vierverlaten, you will get the chance to gain hands-on experience in the field and discover everything involved in the realization of a project within the energy transition.

During your internship, you will be a full member of the project team and, working from work preparation, contribute to the realization of a new 380kV high-voltage substation in Vierverlaten. You will participate on the construction site and in the activities surrounding the foundation and concrete work. You will learn how the work is prepared, executed, and inspected.

We challenge you to take initiative and take responsibility. You will receive your own problems to investigate and the space to come up with ideas and solutions. Of course, you will not be alone: experienced colleagues will guide you and share their professional knowledge and the daily practice of the project. Additionally, you will naturally have sufficient space for your own internship assignments and studies.

In short: an internship in which you see a lot, learn a lot, and actually contribute to the project. A great opportunity to gain (practical) experience, build a professional network, and lay a solid foundation for your career in civil engineering.

• An internship allowance of € 550 to € 650 per month
