As a Legal Contract Manager, you are the architect behind the contractual health of our projects. Your goal is clear: to provide the tender and execution teams with a watertight contractual foundation. You filter the risks out of the fine print and translate them into clear frameworks, even before the first shovel hits the ground.

Should a complex legal or contractual issue arise during realization? Then you are there. You are the one who communicates at a high level with the client's lawyers and contract managers. Because you master the file in detail, understand contractual jurisprudence, and maintain the relationship professionally, you resolve bottlenecks before they become legal conflicts. You are the indispensable link between the legal rules of the game and the practice on-site.

You work in a dynamic project environment where no contract form is the same. However, you are never alone: you work closely with experienced (legal) contract managers from other KWS branches and exchange expertise within the broad VolkerWessels network.
The legal puzzle in the tender phase:
You analyze RAW specifications, UAV-GC contracts, Construction Team agreements, 2-phase contracts, and other modern contract forms down to the last detail. You identify contractual risks and opportunities and advise the tender team on the strategy to be pursued.
Internal awareness:
You proactively and in an understandable way involve colleagues in the legal rules of the contract. You are that positive, sharp "thorn in the side" who asks the right questions, so that the execution team on-site can build without worry.
Pioneering and positioning:
You are given the professional space to truly put your own signature on contract management at our branches. Armed with the procedural frameworks from our head office, you are the trailblazer who raises contract awareness and internal knowledge to a higher level. You know how to get people enthusiastic and thereby firmly place contract management on the map as a strategic success factor within the branches.
Strategic stakeholder management:
On larger projects, you build and maintain the business relationship with clients. You negotiate at a high level and know how to represent interests in a constructive manner.
Escalation and claim prevention:
You identify deviations or scope changes early. By acting sharply on both a contractual and procedural level immediately, you prevent discussions from escalating and protect the organization from unnecessary legal proceedings.

You are an analytical and communicative heavyweight who gets energy from unraveling complex legal documents. You find it a sport to delve into contracts so deeply that you are always three steps ahead of the rest. You convince based on content and file knowledge, without losing sight of the relationship.
