Give spatial developments a legally solid foundation!
The Netherlands faces major spatial challenges. New housing, sustainable energy, climate adaptation, and infrastructure require careful considerations and well-substantiated legal plans. As a Legal Planner at Aveco de Bondt, you will play an important role in this.
You ensure that spatial developments are not only well-thought-out in substance, but also legally feasible. You guide planning procedures, translate policy into legal rules, and help clients to enable developments within the frameworks of the Environment Act (Omgevingswet).
You work on diverse projects for municipalities, developers, and other public and private clients, making a direct contribution to the living environment of tomorrow.
Location: Breda and Holten
Experience level: Medior or Senior
As a Legal Planner, you work at the intersection of spatial planning, urban planning, and administrative law. You are involved in area developments, housing projects, and complex spatial issues where legal expertise is essential. Pragmatically focused on realization!
Your duties include:
Coordinating with municipalities, initiators, and other stakeholders;
Identifying developments within laws and regulations and translating these into practice.
This involves (legally) enabling spatial developments at the front end of and throughout the entire process.
You are a legally strong professional who knows how to translate spatial issues into clear and feasible solutions. You feel at home in a pragmatic and result-oriented environment where legislation, policy, and practice come together.
In addition, you bring:
A completed HBO or WO degree in Planning, Law, Spatial Planning, or similar;
At least 7 years of relevant work experience;
Knowledge of the Environment Act (Omgevingswet) and the General Administrative Law Act (Algemene wet bestuursrecht).
Experience with guiding and drafting spatial plans;
Strong written and communicative skills;
An independent and proactive working attitude.
Social: Together you achieve more. You are involved, know how to connect people, and are open to other perspectives. You find it important to work in an environment where collaboration, fun, and respect are central;
Pragmatic: You love to get stuck in and look for solutions that actually work. No endless theoretical stories, but concrete results that benefit the client and the environment;
Entrepreneurial: You have courage and see opportunities where others might see obstacles. You think ahead, dare to propose new ideas, and take the initiative to shape the future.
