Contract Manager in the Netherlands

Your mission: A foundation as solid as a house

As a Contract Manager, you bear the responsibility for the contractual conscience of the branch. Your goal is clear: ensure that the execution team doesn't actually need the contract in the site office, because you have laid out the frameworks crystal clear in advance.

Should a complex issue arise during realization? Then you are there. You are the one who communicates at a high level with the client's contract manager. Because you master the file and maintain the relationship, you resolve bottlenecks before they become legal conflicts. You are the bridge between the technical work on-site and the business agreements at the table.

You work in a dynamic project environment where no two days are the same. However, you are never alone: you work closely with contract managers from other KWS branches and exchange expertise within the broad VolkerWessels network.

• Internal awareness: You proactively involve colleagues in the 'why' of the contract. You are that positive devil's advocate who asks sharp questions during the tender phase, so that the team is grateful to you during execution.

• Clarity as a foundation: Your most important task is realizing a fair and clear contract together with the team through strong communication.

• Stakeholder management: You build and maintain the relationship with clients. But internally, too, you know how to positively move people to be aware of the importance of a good and clear contract.

• Escalation prevention: You signal deviations early. By acting immediately on a procedural and technical level, you prevent disputes from escalating and protect the organization from unnecessary legal proceedings.

You are a communication heavyweight who gets energy from delving into complex agreements. You know how to convince people without losing sight of the relationship. You understand that a good contract is an instrument to improve cooperation, not to obstruct one another.
