Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you are decisive, proactive, customer-oriented, and operate through collaboration. You are responsible for financial project control, integral safety, process monitoring, contract management, and the required quality of the project. You ensure that the client's request is optimally fulfilled. Additionally, you are responsible for the timely, complete, and reliable (preparation of) reports and forecasts and inform management about these. Finally, as a project manager, you have strong organizational sensitivity, meaning you know what is happening, what the interests are within our organization, and act accordingly. You are motivated to make your contribution to the development of our company.  

Furthermore:  

• You possess a HBO or University degree in Civil Engineering or Technical Business Administration, or a degree that you believe is suitable for this position;  
• Experience as a project manager or at least 5 years of work experience as a project leader or technical manager on civil, integral projects;  
• You have experience in realizing projects within civil concrete construction and/or road construction. Experience in utility construction is a plus;  
• You have experience with or a demonstrable affinity for tenders, construction teams, and dialogue-oriented procurement;
• You feel comfortable in the role of key official and know how to inspire confidence in clients during meetings, presentations, and construction team consultations;
• Working for clients such as Rijkswaterstaat, ProRail, provinces, water boards, grid operators, and large municipalities (G40) is not foreign to you;  
• You have knowledge and experience with working in a construction team context. Furthermore, you are familiar with contract forms such as UAV, UAV-GC, and STABU. Knowledge of Best Value Procurement is a plus.

As a Project Manager at Strukton Civiel Nederland, you will lead pioneering infrastructural projects that contribute to the energy transition, sustainable mobility, and a safe living environment. You are the connecting link between our clients, execution teams, construction partners, and stakeholders. You work on challenging projects within infrastructure and civil concrete construction, from design to delivery, while continuously monitoring planning, budget, quality, and integral safety. 

Additionally, you fulfill an important role as a key official in tenders and construction teams. You are able to convincingly convey our approach, vision, and added value in dialogue meetings, presentations, and client meetings. In doing so, you are not only responsible for the realization of projects but also one of the faces of Strukton in acquisition and collaboration with clients.

You manage more than just technical aspects: you understand how integral safety, sustainability, and our mission, vision, and strategy converge in practice. You actively respond to the wishes of our clients such as Alliander, Tennet, Rijkswaterstaat, various water boards, provinces and large municipalities. You move easily in a market that is continuously developing and know how public clients translate their tasks into collaboration, contract forms, and construction team requirements.

Whether it concerns the construction of energy distribution stations, mast foundations, tunnels, bridges, viaducts, ecoducts, or the installation of waste and drinking water pipelines – you ensure that the project team is rock solid. Thanks to your management, projects are realized safely, efficiently, and with an eye for people and the environment. 

In your role as project manager, you hold ultimate responsibility for the project results of your project and ensure that the project is successfully delivered to a satisfied client. You are responsible for realizing the project objectives and act proactively and adequately to achieve these objectives. Your focus lies on project- and process-oriented working and you devote much attention to building and maintaining the client relationship.

You also know how to provide direction during the tender and construction team phases. You think along about the winning approach, bring risks and opportunities into sharp focus, and know how to convincingly translate our strategy into a clear story for the client. In dialogue meetings and presentations, you are able to create trust, convince on substance, and shape the collaboration from the very first contact.
