Mid-level Contract Manager Construction Projects Real Estate (2 positions)

• HBO or WO level of working and thinking, with a completed degree in law, construction engineering, civil engineering, technical business administration, or a similar field. A relevant specialized education or certification is a plus.
• At least three to five years of relevant experience with contract management within construction, real estate, infrastructural, or utility projects.
• Experience with drafting or executing contract strategies, risk-driven contract management, and handling changes and commercial files.
• Good knowledge of relevant contract forms, procurement procedures, contract law, risk allocation, and commercial considerations.
• You are analytical, careful, and persuasive in advice and consultation. You work independently, request support in a timely manner for complex files, and move easily between the project team, Procurement, Legal, and market parties. You communicate excellently in Dutch and well in English.

• Experience on the client side and with working with the IPM methodology.
• Experience with UAV-GC, system-oriented contract management, or similar risk-driven contract management.
• Experience with complex disputes, mediation, expert procedures, or arbitration.
• Experience with critical infrastructure, data centers, warehouses, utility construction, or other mission-critical assets.

The energy transition requires smart, decisive professionals. In Team Projects, we work on complex real estate and infrastructural projects that are essential to TenneT. Will you contribute to this as a Contract Manager Construction Projects within the Real Estate & Facility Management department?

In one or more multidisciplinary (IPM) project teams, you will contribute to the contract strategy and guide procurement and execution issues. You manage agreements, performance, changes, and contract risks, working closely with the project manager, technical manager, project control manager, environmental manager, and internal and external parties. You oversee the contractual and commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle, identify risks in a timely manner, and develop appropriate scenarios and advice. For complex or cross-project files, you coordinate with a senior contract manager, Procurement, Legal, or project management.

Furthermore, you are responsible for, among other things:

• Contract strategy and procurement: you contribute to the contract and procurement strategy for projects and advise on contract type, market approach, risk allocation, and award systems. In coordination with Procurement and Legal, you contribute to clear and legally sound procurement and contract documents.
• Management of UAV-(GC) contracts: you set up contract management processes, monitor obligations and performance, and ensure consistent application of contractual agreements during design, realization, testing, delivery, and aftercare. You identify deviations and propose appropriate control measures.
• System-oriented contract management: you translate contract and project risks into an appropriate testing and audit strategy. You assess the control and performance of the contractor, analyze findings, and follow up on improvement measures.
• Contract management: you handle changes, contract risks, and less complex claims and disputes. You safeguard the commercial and financial interests of the project, prepare negotiations, and present complex issues to the appropriate decision-makers in a timely manner.
• Professionalization and collaboration: you actively contribute to uniform working methods, standards, performance indicators, and lessons learned. You share knowledge with fellow contract managers, coordinate with IPM role holders, and help further develop contract management within the organization.

Therefore, for full-time employment, we offer you:

A permanent contract with a two-month probationary period, based on [aantal] hours per week.

• A salary in scale 8: €4276,- to €8443,- per month, in addition to 8% holiday allowance and also a 6% year-end bonus.
• A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
• 43 vacation days per year.
