  • You have at least 3 years of work experience as a setting-out engineer, land surveyor, or stakeout technician;

  • You have knowledge and experience with digital setting-out equipment such as GPS and Total Station;

  • You have experience with AutoCAD;

  • You are accurate, eager to learn, proactive, and flexible;

  • You spot opportunities quickly and enjoy thinking along.

The role

Do you have a passion for technological developments and do you enjoy working outdoors on real civil engineering projects? As a Setting-out Engineer / Land Surveyor / Stakeout Technician at KWS Rotterdam-Zwijndrecht, you will work on diverse road construction projects throughout South Holland. From the renewal of tram lines 6 and 12 in The Hague to projects in the Rotterdam port area. What you'll do

Your job
As a Setting-out Engineer, you translate a specification and design into a practical execution plan. You are responsible for the main setting-out: widths, heights, and exactly what goes where. You work closely with the site manager and ensure that the outdoor work is correct.
Your activities include, among others:

How you'll work

You work outdoors approximately 60-70% of your time on our road construction projects. A portion of these projects is located in the Rotterdam port and industrial area.
