Contract Manager
For our Rotterdam-Zwijndrecht location, we are looking for an experienced contract manager who is well-versed in contractual issues, can advise clearly, and enjoys working on a diverse range of contracts. You will primarily focus on contract management within the branch: testing, monitoring, and controlling contractual agreements, identifying risks, and substantiating changes and claims. When necessary, you will also support project teams on-site, but the focus of your activities lies at our office in Zwijndrecht.

This is what you will do
In the tender and realization phases, you will advise colleagues on contract risks and the best way to handle them. By asking follow-up questions and performing sharp analyses of (contract) documents, you will quickly get to the heart of issues. One moment you are assisting a site manager, and a moment later, a business manager or branch director. Our colleagues rely on your expertise.

• Assessing contracts during the tender phase, providing advice, and drafting questions for larger and/or complex tenders;

• Negotiating and concluding agreements, both with clients and with subcontractors;

• Drafting and reviewing contracts;

• Supporting the organization in (potential) disputes;

• Turning risks into opportunities: identifying legal risks with a critical eye and translating them into solutions and control measures;

• Proactive knowledge sharing: communicating lessons learned within our organization through advice and presentations.

Your substantive sparring partner will be the contract manager within the branch or our legal counsel. Additionally, you will participate in the national contract managers meeting where knowledge sharing is central.
