A completed university degree, for example in a legal, technical, or business administration direction;
Extensive and demonstrable experience (± 10–15 years) as a (lead) contract manager within offshore wind, marine, large infra, or industrial projects;
Experience with FIDIC-like contracts, BIMCO, and complex procurement contract structures;
Strong analytical skills and persuasiveness.
Affinity with IT and AI tools; you are able to utilize these smartly in the contract process;
Experience with negotiations, change management, claims, and dispute resolution;
The ability to coach, provide direction, and advance a field of expertise;
An entrepreneurial, flexible mindset and willingness to travel internationally.

As Lead Contract Manager Wind & Marine, you hold ultimate responsibility for the full contract management within both projects and the business unit. You ensure correct interpretation, safeguarding, and compliance of contracts and actively manage contractual changes, deviations, claims, and disputes. You monitor the contractual obligations of all parties involved and ensure that risks are identified and managed in a timely manner.
In addition, you develop and professionalize the field of contract management within Wind & Marine. You set up processes, safeguard knowledge, and guide colleagues in their professional growth, so that contract management is brought to a higher level within the organization.
You work closely with project directors, project and tender managers, technical disciplines, procurement, and legal. From contract formation through to delivery and aftercare, you play a key role in the commercial and contractual success of our projects.
You do this within both offshore wind projects and marine projects. Each with its own dynamics and social significance. With our offshore wind projects, you contribute directly to the energy transition. With our marine projects, you work on sustainable maritime infrastructure, logistics, accessibility, and international connectivity.
Manages the main contract management process for multiple wind and marine projects.
Provides a substantive contribution to the establishment of main contracts and important subcontracts (including FIDIC- and BIMCO-like contracts).
Monitors contractual obligations, changes, deviations, claims, and performance statements.
Sets up and improves processes for change management, contractual communication, file formation, and reporting.
Works closely with legal on disputes and complex contractual issues.
Coaches and guides contract managers and subcontract managers within projects, including both internal employees and external specialists.
Introduces and utilizes digital and AI-driven tools for contract analysis and risk detection.
Ensures knowledge sharing, workshops, and process optimizations within the business unit.
Operationally, you report to the BU Director;
Functionally, you report to the Head of Contract Management BN Holding.
You operate in an international project environment where contract, technology, planning, commerce, and stakeholder management converge. This requires someone who is substantively strong, analytically sharp, and communicatively persuasive.
No two days are the same. One day you are in contract consultations with the client, the next day you are coordinating changes with legal, procurement, or technical disciplines, or you are coaching contract managers on a project at home or abroad.
