The role

Your role

As a Supply Chain Engineer (ERP), you will work in a compact team that will continue to grow in the coming period. Within this team, you are the specialist in the field of ERP configuration.

You translate the requirements of new projects into a workable supply chain setup and ensure that processes land in the ERP system in a smart and as standardized way as possible. In doing so, you work closely with procurement and production, and in your role, you also have touchpoints with engineering, quality, and IT, among others.

You look beyond the system alone. You understand what is happening on the shop floor, see where processes can be improved, and translate that into solutions that work in practice.

What you'll do

Your primary duties:

  • Act as an ERP specialist within the Supply Chain Engineering team and configure, manage, and continuously improve the new ERP environment for supply chain processes.
  • Translate new defense projects into an appropriate supply chain setup, defining processes, material flows, and logistical principles from the start.
  • Draft and maintain PFEPs (Plan For Every Part) and translate these into an efficient configuration of material flows, inventory, and production.
  • Standardize and improve supply chain processes in the areas of planning, inventory management, logistics, and material availability, among others.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing and Production to identify operational bottlenecks early and resolve them structurally.
  • Analyze supply chain and ERP data and develop and improve reports and dashboards that make performance and improvement opportunities transparent.
  • Document processes in work instructions and procedures and guide and train colleagues in the correct use of the ERP system.

In the configuration, you take into account the quality and compliance requirements applicable to the projects, including ISO 9001, AQAP 2110, AS9100, and ITAR.

Your strength

You have extensive experience within the supply chain and know how processes, systems, and shop floor practice converge. You are analytically strong, work in a structured manner, and get energy from an environment where not everything is yet fixed.

Ready to challenge yourself?

Are you an experienced Supply Chain Engineer and does it seem interesting to you to not only optimize processes, but to help build them from the ground up? Then we would love to get in touch with you.

In this position, you will be given the space to apply your ERP and supply chain knowledge to diverse defense projects and to help build upon the further growth of VDL Defentec.
