Supply Chain Specialist

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you manage, assess, and monitor inventory positions in terms of quantity, quality, and correct timing. You achieve the latter, among other things, by anticipating the commercial activities calendar and external influences in collaboration with the Demand Planner. You are responsible for placing orders with suppliers and act as the director who steers and intervenes at the intersection of shortages and surpluses. Together with your stakeholders, you do everything possible to achieve the maximum result for Jumbo and our customers.

• Improving the optimal availability and shrinkage of the Jumbo assortment throughout the entire chain (store, distribution center, supplier). In this, you work closely with purchasing, assortment management, and our distribution centers;
• Improving, optimizing, and adjusting the parameters and settings used to generate order proposals for both the stores and the distribution centers;
• Maintaining supplier contacts within your supplier portfolio, where you are responsible for both short-term cyclical communication regarding disruptions in the chain and the continuous improvement of performance and collaboration with your suppliers.

You will work in the Forecasting & Replenishment department at the Jumbo office in Veghel. Within the department, you will work in one of the 4 units: DKW & Vriesvers, Ultravers & Borrel, AGF & Proteïne, or E-Commerce. Together, you ensure an optimal Supply Chain for our stores and E-Commerce.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Logistics, Operations Research, Operations Management & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or (Technical) Business Administration;
• Zero to four years of relevant work experience within a Supply Chain environment;
• Analytical thinking skills, enabling you to perform sound root cause analyses, while also being able to easily establish connections with other departments;
• A flexible attitude and a hands-on approach with an eye for opportunities, service, and quality.
• A gross salary between €3,900 - €5,100 per month (based on 40 hours).
• An annual bonus of max 5% of your annual salary based on organizational objectives.
• 30 vacation days (with the possibility to buy or sell vacation days) and 8% holiday allowance. You build up a pension through participation in the Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds voor het Levensmiddelenbedrijf (Industry Pension Fund for the Food Industry).
• An allowance for your travel expenses (€ 0.21 cents per kilometer with a max. of 35 kilometers one way). We like to work together in the office, but you can also work partly from home.
