Operational Buyer

• A salary between €3656,- and €4795,- gross per month, plus 8% holiday allowance.

Do you want to ensure that our complex shipbuilding projects never come to a standstill due to missing materials or equipment? As an Operational Buyer, you ensure that everything is available at the right time for our projects and production.

You are responsible for placing and following up on purchase orders and maintain continuous visibility on delivery times, quantities, and agreements with suppliers. Is a delivery threatening to arrive late or does it deviate from the agreed arrangements? Then you take immediate action and coordinate with suppliers, engineering, logistics, and the project teams.

You work closely with our Tactical and Project Buyers, thereby playing an important role in the progress of our international shipbuilding projects.

• Preparing, placing, and managing purchase orders.
• Checking whether orders are complete and correct and align with the technical specifications.
• Monitoring order confirmations, delivery times, and quantities.
• Making commercial agreements within the agreed frameworks.
• Monitoring the agreed processes and quality standards.

• Actively following up with suppliers and monitoring timely delivery.
• Early identification of potential delays, risks, and deviations.
• Taking immediate action when deliveries threaten to deviate from the schedule.
• Coordinating expediting actions with suppliers, logistics, and project teams.

• Acting as the daily point of contact for your suppliers.
• Answering questions regarding orders, documentation, deliveries, and invoices.
• Searching for solutions to delivery or performance problems together with suppliers.

• Coordinating with engineering, production, logistics, and project teams regarding priorities and planning.
• Ensuring that certificates, documentation, and packing lists are available in a timely manner.
• Processing order changes resulting from engineering updates.

• Keeping purchasing data up to date and accurate in the ERP system, such as IFS.
• Processing order confirmations, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Supporting reports on order status, delivery performance, and outstanding actions.
• Ensuring complete and clear purchasing files, including for audits.

You are a buyer who likes to maintain an overview, acts quickly, and does not wait when a delivery is under pressure. You feel at home in a technical, project-based environment in which priorities can change and good cooperation with suppliers and internal stakeholders is essential.

• NEVI MIL / NEVI 1 Foundation is a plus.
