The role

Within the role of team lead manufacturing engineer, you are the lead in shaping our manufacturing strategy. In this role, you will manage a team of +/- 4 people.

• You will take the lead in setting up the manufacturing strategy, optimizations, and the launch of all new programs related to our new type of bus.
• You define what must be done per launch + what the responsibilities are per department within production.
• You design and implement competitive, efficient, and safe production processes in order to be able to deliver the highest standards to our customers.
• You determine the investments for the coming year and can present these to our director in an argued manner.
• You improve the value stream flow to enhance competitiveness.
• Practically, you will check whether all optimizations are actually being implemented within production and in what manner this occurs.
• Work instructions pass through your approval, and additionally, you assist in defining, designing, and providing new tools that can benefit quality.
• You ensure that the necessary risk analyses are carried out in production and that you yourself are aware of the health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• You tackle bottlenecks and prevent them from hindering the further process!
• Finally, you manage your team, keep an eye on deadlines, and ensure strong follow-up.
