The role

VDL ETG Almelo is experiencing enormous growth. To achieve that growth, we continuously need new colleagues. Labor market communications plays an important role in this. By making VDL ETG Almelo visible as an employer, you contribute directly to the further development of our organization.

VDL ETG Almelo collaborates with many different organizations to introduce potential colleagues to technology and our company. For many of those organizations (such as student teams and study associations), you will become the first point of contact. You ensure that VDL ETG Almelo is present at all kinds of events, that guest lectures are given, and you help with the reception of the hundreds of pupils, students, and technicians per year for 'a tour through the facility'.

You will work independently on the preparation with internal and external parties, leaving nothing to chance. This involves many things, such as arranging booth staffing, catering, presentation materials, and goodies. And if necessary, you will simply give that presentation or tour yourself (also in English).

In addition, your input on a strategic level is very welcome. Together with two communication colleagues, you will focus on the employer branding of VDL ETG Almelo. Not only to put the company even further on the map externally as an attractive technical employer, but also to engage, inspire, and retain our employees internally. In doing so, you will work closely with colleagues from the HR, recruitment, and training departments in Almelo and with VDL colleagues in Eindhoven.

As a Communications Advisor, you will focus on the employer branding of VDL ETG Almelo. Your challenge consists of, among other things:

• maintaining and establishing contacts with external organizations such as study associations, student teams, schools, UT, interest groups, sports clubs, business networks, etc.;
• organizing activities that introduce pupils, students, and technicians to VDL ETG Almelo, such as company visits, tours, guest lectures, presentations, and internship markets;
• further shaping a strategic sponsorship policy and cooperating in its execution;
• further developing our ambassador program among colleagues;
• creating content about these events and collaborations for our social media channels.
