You help organizations increase their level of fire safety. Practical, evidence-based, and impactful. As a Fire Safety Advisor at Inprevo, you translate regulations and risks into concrete measures in buildings. You work independently on projects and guide clients through choices that impact safety, costs, and operations.
What will you do?
You assess existing buildings as well as new constructions based on the Living Environment Building Decree (Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving) and relevant standards. You investigate what is needed to make a location fire-safe or keep it that way, and explain why a measure is necessary, what alternatives are possible, and what the consequences are for management and use. One moment you are on-site, the next you are working on a program of requirements (PvE), risk assessment, or advisory report.
Converting findings into measures that are technically correct and feasible within budget, staffing, and management.
Guiding permit and notification procedures, including providing substantiation to competent authorities;
Coordinating with building management, facility services, HSE, contractors, and the fire department so that everyone knows their own role in the execution;
Leading small to medium-sized projects and monitoring planning, quality, budget, and agreements;
Providing explanations of choices to clients in presentations or knowledge sessions.
Applying and good to know
Enthusiastic already? Feel free to apply! After your application, we will start with an introduction to the Team Lead Fire Safety and/or senior advisor. This will be followed by a shadowing day where you will get to know the work and your future colleagues. You enthusiastic and so are we? Then you will receive an offer from us and we would love to welcome you as a colleague!
Do you have a question first or would you like more information? Feel free to contact Lidie via l.vanderminne@inprevo.nl or via 0652588701 (sending a text message is also of course allowed).
You have HBO or WO working and thinking level, preferably a completed education in Civil Engineering or Safety Science;
Fire Prevention Expert 1 diploma, preferably supplemented with other fire safety training;
3–5 years of experience with fire safety, for example in consultancy, building management, or projects;
You are a strong communicator: you can explain technical choices so that directors, building managers, and executors understand what needs to happen and why;
You are persuasive: when multiple solutions are possible, you can substantiate which measure yields the best result;
You work in a structured manner: you maintain an overview, work systematically, and monitor progress and agreements.
You work within the Fire Safety team, a group of approximately fifteen specialists in an organization of over thirty consultants. You report to Lidie (Manager consultancy), but interact independently with clients and project partners. You determine for yourself how your week looks and from where you perform your work.
Why this work at Inprevo is so great
You get a lot of freedom to organize your work and deliver substantive value, without getting stuck in bureaucracy. The organization is informal yet professional: we trust each other, share knowledge, and help each other grow. You see visible results from your work because you don't just advise, but also help with implementation.
