Health & Safety Specialist HSE

A safe working environment is not created behind a desk. As a Health & Safety Specialist, you are visible in the operation and help colleagues work safely and healthily every day. You are the substantive sparring partner for managers and team leaders within our distribution centers and ensure that safety policy is up-to-date and is also actually applied. Using your expertise, you translate laws and regulations, risk analyses, and best practices into clear frameworks with which the operation can work independently.

You analyze risks, perform audits, and translate findings into clear improvements. This could include a new traffic plan but also a safety communication plan that you develop together with HR. In doing so, you know how to engage people and ultimately create ownership where it belongs: in the operation. Thanks to your advice, involvement, and persuasiveness, we make safety part of our daily work together. You are part of our HSE team, which includes an HSE manager and a Compliance specialist.

What are you going to do in the role of Health & Safety Specialist?

• You advise managers and team leaders on safety, health, and working conditions.
• You perform RI&E's (Risk Inventories and Evaluations), incident analyses, audits, and risk assessments.
• You develop policy, reports, and management information in the field of Health & Safety.
• You identify opportunities for improvement, develop, and work together with the operational teams on the annual safety plan.
• You work on issues surrounding machine safety, traffic flows, and incident management.
