Senior Quality, Safety and Environment Advisor

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking with at least a completed MVK (Safety Manager) training;

• at least 10 years of relevant work experience, of which a substantial part is at a senior or advisory level, preferably within infra, offshore, transport, or construction;

• strong communication and advisory skills at executive and Board of Directors level, and didactic skills to train and guide others;

• the ability to switch effortlessly between different levels within the organization, from the shop floor to the boardroom.

As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will take the safety culture of Movares to the next level: from a watertight emergency response system to an organization that is structurally ready for the next step in its safety maturity.

• You provide direction to the further development of safety within Movares, strengthen the safety culture at all levels of the organization, professionalize the emergency response organization, and ensure that people, resources, and processes demonstrably meet the requirements of a mature safety organization.

• You develop and safeguard a uniform safety management system for all entities and ensure sustainable implementation in daily practice. And you are responsible for achieving and maintaining SCL and other safety certifications, and you successfully guide the organization through internal and external audits;

• You advise the executive team, management, and Board of Directors on strategic safety policy and translate ambitions into concrete results.

  As a Senior HSE Advisor, you move effortlessly between the different departments; Movares is in full development and growth, which requires flexibility when something that has just been delivered already needs to be adjusted. You work in an environment of growth, change, and diversity, stand close to and in close consultation with the Board of Directors, and receive plenty of room to further shape the safety and management system.

  The challenge: not only ensuring that the emergency response system and VCA certification are in order, but also helping to determine how safety and culture further develop within Movares.

You are an advisor who maintains an overview while simultaneously having an eye for detail; you know how to get people on board when it comes to working safely. You translate regulations and risks into concrete, workable processes, and you dare to engage in the conversation about culture and behavior. You switch effortlessly between the shop floor, managers, and the Board of Directors, and in doing so, you stay close to what truly matters: not just chasing checkboxes, but truly adding value.
