Most HR roles involve managing an existing system. Here, you will build upon what is already in place and help shape the next phase of HR.
Imagine looking back a year from now. The performance review cycle you further developed is running smoothly. The salary structure is in place, and employees understand how roles, responsibilities, and compensation relate to one another. Managers know how to conduct difficult conversations because you helped them do so. And the director involves you whenever a decision with an impact on the organization is on the table.
That is the role. A lot has been achieved in recent years. Your task is to build upon that, further develop matters, and ensure that policies and processes work well throughout the entire organization. This is with an organization that is ready for a next step and gives you the space to contribute to it.
In many HR positions, you work within frameworks that are largely fixed. Here, you will actually get the space to help build the next phase.
You will provide direction to the further professionalization of HR and ensure that policies and processes align well with the development of the organization. In doing so, your primary focus lies on Inprevo, but you will also collaborate with HR colleagues and other organizations within The Safety Network. In this way, we share knowledge and work, where possible, towards more cohesion within the network.
Think of the performance review cycle, the job architecture, and the salary scales that are currently being finalized, and an incentive model that you can substantiate. A foundation is in place, and there is plenty of room to determine what the next step looks like. It is precisely that combination that makes the role versatile.
You will work directly alongside the director, as her sparring partner and as a member of the management team. No layer in between. You do not advise from the sidelines, but sit at the table where important decisions are made, bringing the HR perspective to them.
And you are not alone in this. You will work together with an experienced HR employee who manages the personnel administration and daily operations and thinks along with you. Absence is managed via a coordinator, recruitment can be external, and pension, insurance, fleet management, and legal issues lie with the holding company. This way, you maintain space for where you make the difference: building, connecting, and providing direction.
a performance review cycle that is applied in the same way everywhere, with objectives that lead to meaningful conversations;
completing the job architecture and salary scales, with an incentive model that you can substantiate;
further developing existing HR policies and existing processes, from onboarding to development;
guiding the further development of the organization and bringing colleagues along in changes and new ways of working;
own initiatives and improvement projects, from idea to execution;
strategic HR advice that the management and MT can build upon.
In the first few months, you will get to know the organization and the people well. Based on that, you will set priorities and develop a clear approach for the further development of HR. Subsequently, you will start working on this together with the organization.
Your position is at Inprevo, but through our collaboration within The Safety Network, your impact reaches further. What works well within Inprevo can also be of value to other organizations within the network.
You share knowledge, think along about broader applications, and contribute to the further HR development within The Safety Network.
Inprevo helps organizations create a safe environment and prevent calamities. As a specialist in fire safety, we combine expert safety advice with practical BHV (Emergency Response) and safety training. For housing corporations, healthcare institutions, and (semi-)government institutions, among others, we map out risks and help to comply with laws and regulations and to be well-prepared for emergency situations.
We do this with a team of about 125 colleagues from Houten, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam. We are an organization with short lines, engaged colleagues, and a lot of attention to the person behind the work. We find that easy-going and people-oriented culture important and want to preserve it.
Inprevo is part of The Safety Network, a partnership of specialized companies in the fields of, among others, fire safety, occupational safety, supervision, and security. Within this network, we work together with other specialized safety companies and connect our knowledge and expertise.
We are developing as an organization. Much has already been built within HR in recent years as well. There is a solid foundation with policies, processes, and a job architecture that we are now putting the finishing touches on.
You will have the chance to build upon that and take the next step together with colleagues.
Engaged colleagues, short lines, an informal atmosphere, and people who are proud of their work. Additionally:
salary between € 6,000 and € 6,500 gross per month, depending on experience;
lease car;
permanent employment, a direct line to the director, and a line to HR at the group level;
25 vacation days and 2 extra days if you have not been sick (based on a 40-hour work week);
hybrid working: at home or at our flex locations in Houten, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam;
room for training and development;
pension scheme, WGA gap coverage, and accident insurance;
access to vitality benefits via Alleo.
We are looking less for a CV and more for a type. Someone who gets energy from building and finishing, in an organization where much is moving. Specifically:
you have handled HR broadly and independently, and know all the themes from the inside;
you are a builder and a finisher: you pick up what is there and ensure that it works;
you are firm and proactive: you engage in difficult conversations, do not wait for instructions, and hold your own in an organization that changes quickly;
you bring people along and feel at home in an easy-going, people-oriented environment;
HBO/WO working and thinking level.
Personality weighs more than papers. A corporate background is not a must. What matters to us is what you have achieved and how you approach your work.
Enthusiastic? Then respond quickly! We would love to meet you. In a number of conversations, you will speak with, among others, the director and the colleagues you will be working with. This way, you will get just as good an impression of us as we will of you.
Acquisition in response to this vacancy is not appreciated.
