Health & Safety Advisor

• As a Health & Safety Advisor, you are responsible for ensuring safety within Schiphol's largest construction and infrastructure projects. You ensure that safety frameworks are not only established but also demonstrably applied during the design, preparation, execution, and delivery of projects.
• Although you are active daily within Major Projects, you are part of the Construction Management specialist team. Here, you work together with other safety professionals on the continuous improvement of safety standards, knowledge sharing, and best practices.

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you are responsible for ensuring that safety frameworks are not only established but also demonstrably applied during the design, preparation, execution, and delivery of projects. How exactly you realize this? That is up to you. We trust in the way you set your goals clearly and achieve them on time according to a good plan. You apply your talents to:

• translating Schiphol-wide safety frameworks into uniform working methods for Major Projects.
• advising Project Directors, Project Managers, and project teams.
• ensuring safety in project decisions, design choices, and phase transitions.
• testing safety plans, risk analyses, and control measures.
• conducting safety rounds, audits, and inspections.
• strengthening safety awareness within project teams.
• reporting on safety risks and performance.

You operate within a portfolio of complex construction and infrastructure projects within Major Projects. In your role, you represent the safety discipline within project teams and act as a connecting link between the projects and the Construction Management specialist group.

• a higher professional education (HBO) level of work and thinking.
• a completed degree in Higher Safety Science (HVK) or similar.
• at least 8 years of relevant experience within complex construction, infra, or technical projects.
• experience as a Safety Advisor, Safety Officer, or similar position.
• VCA-VOL certification.
• experience with risk management, audits, and stakeholder management.

• € 5231 to € 7257 gross per month (scale 12).
• A 13th month.

• Participation in the ABP pension fund.
