Project Safety Specialist / HSE Advisor

What is your place in the organization?
Within BESIX Nederland, you are part of the BESIX QHSE team Business Unit Europe. You report at company level to the QHSE manager BESIX Nederland and at project level to the project manager. As a permanent part of a project team, your scope of tasks lies largely at the project level.

Purpose of the role?
Your goal is to increase the safety awareness of the organization and to inspire enthusiasm to continuously improve it together. In the role of project safety specialist/HSE advisor, you are an important member of a project team for the realization of a project and are responsible for:

• supporting the project manager in the rollout of the Safety Culture Program
• BESIX Nederland and the safety management system;
• drafting risk analyses, checking and setting up project-oriented
• safety plans/TRA’s and procedures;
• testing compliance with HSE plans and performing HSE inspections and the coordination thereof on the project;
• conducting accident/incident investigations, creating trend analyses including
• advising how these can be prevented in the future;
• attending project meetings and maintaining contact with clients,
• SZW inspections and other stakeholders;
• developing, maintaining, and disseminating HSE knowledge within the project and BESIX
• Nederland;
• co-drafting and guiding HSE campaigns, including increasing
• safety awareness;
• participating in the periodic HSE work consultation with fellow HSE advisors at BESIX Nederland.
