The energy transition demands smart, decisive professionals. At the Maasvlakte, we work daily on the safe execution of construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities, so that people and installations can operate safely. Will you contribute to this as a Technical High-Voltage Safety Advisor / HSE (Maasvlakte)?

For experienced WV/IV professionals who want to take the next step in their career. In this role, you will combine your expertise in high-voltage safety with a targeted development track towards the position of Site HSE Lead.

How do you keep the Netherlands running? As Technical High-Voltage Safety Advisor / HSE, you are responsible for providing HSE advice and supporting safe execution at the Maasvlakte project location, ensuring that activities during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning proceed safely and responsibly. In this role, you combine in-depth HSE knowledge with the ability to connect stakeholders and advise on operational and tactical safety issues within complex project environments.

What you'll do

  • You advise project management, commissioning teams, engineers, contractors, and technical supervisors on HSE and technical safety issues, so that risks are recognized in a timely manner and appropriate measures are taken.
  • You assess technical and operational risks and discuss, among other things, work permits, RAMS, task risk analyses, JSAs, switching plans, and LOTO measures, so that work can be prepared and executed safely.
  • You monitor safe working practices during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities and address contractors and other involved parties regarding unsafe situations and behavior, so that safety agreements are actually applied.
  • You coordinate with contractors, TenneT colleagues, and other involved disciplines regarding work and interfaces, so that different activities connect safely to one another.
  • You analyze findings from workplace inspections, safety observations, audits, and incident investigations and translate these into improvements, so that HSE processes and working methods are continuously strengthened.
  • You support the Site HSE Lead and gradually take on additional HSE responsibilities, so that you further develop your technical experience towards a Site HSE Lead role.

In this role, you will work at the Maasvlakte in a complex construction and commissioning environment with many contractors and interfaces. Together with contractors and TenneT colleagues, you contribute to a strong safety culture on location. You report to the HSE Manager and will occasionally be present at the TenneT office in Arnhem Rijnpoort.

Experience & skills

  • A completed MVK training or equivalent qualification is a strong plus. If you do not have this yet, you must be willing to successfully complete the MVK training within one year.
