Your own region. Your own contracts. Your own team. As a Maintenance Project Manager at SWARCO, you are responsible for the whole. Sometimes according to plan, sometimes because practice demands it. But whatever the situation, you get the freedom and the responsibility to organize it your way. Together, you ensure everything is correct, from daily operations to the long term. Something for you?
As a Maintenance Project Manager at SWARCO, you are responsible for the complete organization, project monitoring, finances, and communication of the various maintenance contracts (BOC) and performance contracts in the North region. A great responsibility, but of course, you don't have to do it all alone. In a motivating way, you lead a team of service technicians, service leaders, and project coordinators. Together, you ensure that bridges, locks, and the control center in Friesland and Groningen continue to function optimally.
You understand how maintenance contracts work and what is required to execute them successfully. You maintain control over the whole. You ensure contracts run as intended, with a grip on planning, quality, costs, and risks. Not just on paper, but precisely in the daily operations as well. You are visibly involved in the execution, keep your finger on the pulse, and adjust where necessary. You organize the work, make clear agreements, and ensure everyone knows where they stand. In doing so, you work closely with subcontractors and other internal combination partners, so that the work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Towards our clients, such as Rijkswaterstaat and the Province of Fryslân, you are the point of contact. You discuss progress, ensure that agreements are met, and build a sustainable collaboration. You think along about improvements and advise on the optimal deployment and performance of the installations.
In addition to managing the daily operations, you also have a clear commercial role. Whether it concerns improvements within existing contracts or opportunities in the region, you identify opportunities and convert them into concrete results. You work together with the tender team, provide crucial technical and commercial input, and additionally, you are not afraid to develop a proposal yourself and present it to the client. You are the face of SWARCO in the region, and that face deserves to be seen! That makes you not just a manager, but also an entrepreneur.
You work closely with colleagues within SWARCO and with other maintenance project managers in the various regions. Together, you form the maintenance network of SWARCO. You have a lot of freedom in your role, but you are never standing alone.
What we offer
At SWARCO, we believe a new job should offer more than just an attractive salary or an interesting project. We believe the whole picture must be right. Therefore, we offer you a varied and challenging position, where you can work on cool projects that truly matter. From day one, we provide an extensive onboarding process. Your growth and development are a high priority for us; therefore, you will be given the space to follow both internal and external training and education. What else you receive based on full-time employment:
Who we are looking for
When things get complicated, you are the one who maintains calm and keeps the overview. You see what is happening, dare to make choices, and ensure the team can move forward. In doing so, you look beyond today. You see where things can be improved, recognize risks and opportunities, and translate this into concrete improvements in execution. At the same time, you are practical enough to do what is necessary to keep the work running. In this way, you bring structure and clarity, so that the team can perform.
You feel responsible for the whole: the contract, the relationship with the client, and the team performing the work on-site. You know when to adjust on content, when on process, and when on people. In collaboration, you are clear and approachable. You switch easily between technicians, subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders. You express expectations, keep each other sharp, and build a collaboration that lasts. Furthermore:
