Who we are looking for
You haven't just learned the trade from books, but you know the practical reality of execution. Perhaps you started outside yourself and have developed yourself step by step. You understand what is happening on the work floor, get people on board, and know when to adjust course. Because of this, you are a conversation partner for both the project team and the people on-site.
You are clear in your communication and take responsibility for the choices you make. In doing so, you have an eye for safety, quality, and the project result. You think ahead, see risks coming, and understand that a good supervisor looks further than today's planning. You also do not lose sight of the financial side of a project. Furthermore:
• You have an MBO+ or HBO level of work and thought, preferably in the direction of technology, electrical engineering, or infra;
• You have experience as a supervisor within electrical engineering, infra, or a comparable technical project environment;
• You possess knowledge of technical installations such as DVM, OVL, VRI, or other traffic systems;
• You have experience in managing employees, subcontractors, and other involved parties;
• You have an excellent command of the Dutch language;
• You possess a driving license B.
The planning is correct. The equipment is ready. Everyone knows what needs to be done. Yet, a project asks for choices, coordination, and oversight every single day. As a Site Supervisor, you are the one who takes charge of that. You monitor progress, bring parties together, and ensure that the work outside is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
As a Site Supervisor at SWARCO, you will step into the Via15 project. An iconic infrastructure project in which various disciplines and contractors work simultaneously on the same task. Within this project, SWARCO is responsible for the realization of, among other things, public lighting, matrix signal indicators, traffic control systems, roadside systems, and fiber optic connections along more than 24 kilometers of highway.
You ensure that plans become reality. In doing so, you lead the execution on-site and provide functional direction to both your own colleagues and subcontractors. You are involved in the preparation from the start and ensure that the organization is in place before the work begins. Subsequently, you monitor progress, quality, safety, and costs throughout the execution. You work intensively with work preparers, project managers, and other members of the project team, ensuring that everyone knows what needs to be done and when.
On-site, you are visibly present. You maintain an overview of the activities, identify risks, and intervene before problems arise. At the same time, you look beyond just today's planning. You think ahead, see intersections between activities, and continuously look for ways to work more efficiently without compromising safety or quality.
You have a lot of contact with various parties. From technicians and machine operators to clients and stakeholders. You coordinate activities, monitor agreements, and ensure that everyone has the same expectations. In addition, you also keep a sharp eye on the financial side of the project. You understand that a smart supervisor looks not only at what is technically possible, but also at what is logical and responsible for the project result.
Safety plays a central role in everything you do. You organize toolbox meetings, workplace inspections, and start-work instructions, and ensure that everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. For you, this is not a mere formality, but a self-evident part of good craftsmanship.
