Sr. Sourcing Manager

As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you will think together with the business about what we need for our processes, how we can best procure this, and how we collaborate with our partners to deliver excellent quality to our passengers and airlines and to lead the way in innovation. And how do you approach this? That is up to you. We rely on the way you pursue goals with enthusiasm and determination, know how to convince others of your vision, and overcome obstacles with confidence. You will apply your talents to:

• building in-depth knowledge of your procurement markets and applying this knowledge to create smart strategies for your Smart Assets procurement category, consisting of, among others, autonomous buses, snowplows, and wheelchairs.
• launching pilots to test innovations in practice and ensuring the continuity of our operation in both the short and long term based on your category strategies, and making timely adjustments and providing alternatives if structural shortages or disruptions threaten to arise.
• ensuring excellent relationships with your suppliers, which you shape in terms of form and content together with the contract manager and business owner. We collaborate with our suppliers on the basis of equality, a common goal, and a win-win basis.
  probing and understanding our business processes and models and building and maintaining excellent relationships with the business owners to add value from procurement and contract management from there.
  executing complex supplier selection processes, including European tenders and contracting these parties for a pilot or Schiphol-wide rollout. With this, you lay an important foundation for successful collaboration.

As a senior sourcing manager, you work together with your category team of contract managers and sourcing managers. You form the link between Schiphol's operations, innovation, and the supplier market. You are a conversation partner at various levels and know how to convince and "challenge" through your persistent personality and strong analytical, relational, and communicative skills.

Schiphol's Procurement & Contract Management (P&C) department works closely with internal customers to optimize demand, specifications, price, and costs. The department consists of six category teams and an Excellence Center. P&C focuses on the professionalization of procurement and contract management, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. Through collaboration with suppliers, P&C aims to contribute to accelerating sustainable developments and improving the quality of services at the airport.

• a completed HBO or WO degree supplemented with at least 8 years of experience in the independent procurement of IT products and services and/or Smart Assets within complex (logistical) business processes.
• experience with European tendering.
• excellent communicative, relational, and analytical skills.
• good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

• € 5703 to € 7912 gross per month (scale 13).
• A 13th month.
• The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours with a 36-hour work week.
• An NS-Business Card that fully reimburses public transport travel to and from work.
• 180 vacation hours.
