(Senior) Functional Administrator AFAS | HRM, Payroll & Process Optimization

• You have an HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking. 

• You have several years of relevant experience as a functional administrator, functional application administrator, or AFAS consultant. 

• You have demonstrable practical experience with managing, configuring, or implementing AFAS. 

• You have experience with AFAS workflows, authorizations, reporting, and system connections. 

• You are strong in problem analysis and reduce complex issues to practical, manageable solutions. 

• You switch easily between users, process owners, IT specialists, management, and suppliers. 

• You work carefully and with a focus on quality, and demonstrate visible ownership. 

Knowledge of applications for recruitment, learning and development, or time registration is a plus. Experience with both AFAS and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is also a great addition. 

• A salary of € 4,400 to € 7,000 gross per month, depending on your knowledge, experience, and the level at which you enter.

The foundation of our AFAS environment is in place. Now the interesting part begins: setting up processes more intelligently, utilizing functionalities better, and further professionalizing functional administration. As a Functional Administrator AFAS at Strukton Nederland, you will be given the space to visibly make a difference. 

A change in AFAS never stands alone. If you adjust a workflow, it can have consequences for authorizations, reporting, payroll processing, data flows, and linked applications. You oversee this interconnectedness and ensure that changes are implemented in a controlled, secure, and future-proof manner. 

You are the substantive link between HR, Payroll, process owners, users, IT specialists, and external suppliers.  

You don't just execute a user request. You first investigate what the organization truly wants to achieve. Which processes and systems are affected? What does a change mean for users, administration, and payroll processing? And how do we ensure that the solution continues to work well in the long term? With sharp analyses and practical advice, you help Strukton to work smarter, more reliably, and more efficiently. 

Because AFAS was recently implemented in its basic form, there are plenty of opportunities to further develop the environment. You bring structure, work out points for improvement, and ensure that possibilities within AFAS are utilized optimally. Depending on your experience, you will also take on a substantive leadership role, coach colleagues, and act as a specialist interlocutor for the organization. 

• You manage, configure, and optimize AFAS, with an emphasis on e-HRM and Payroll. 

• You investigate how existing HR and payroll processes can be further digitized, automated, and standardized. 

• You set up workflows, roles, rights, authorizations, and reports, and improve them where necessary. 

• You monitor connections with surrounding applications and investigate errors and dependencies in data flows. 

• You coordinate and supervise testing, user acceptance, releases, updates, and changes. 

• You analyze incidents and not only tackle the problem but also investigate the underlying cause. 

• You safeguard information security by carefully managing roles and rights based on established authorization matrices. 

• You direct suppliers and consultants and monitor the quality, progress, and transferability of their activities. 

• You proactively identify opportunities to further professionalize processes and the application landscape. 

You want to understand how a process truly works. You look beyond an individual user request and investigate the connection between processes, data, authorizations, and systems. In doing so, you communicate clearly, ask critical questions, and dare to propose a different solution direction if it fits the organization better. 

You can set priorities independently and take responsibility for the result. If you have extensive senior experience, you actively share your expertise, coach colleagues, and help to further professionalize functional administration within Strukton.

We are open to both an experienced medior and a senior professional. As a medior, you work independently on complex administration issues and proactively identify needs within the organization. As a senior, the emphasis is additionally on specialist advice, organization-wide impact analyses, stakeholder management, and coaching colleagues. We will align the level of the position with your knowledge and experience.
