Technical Manager

• HBO or WO working and thinking level, preferably in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a similar field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical management, design, engineering, or project management role within architectural projects;
• Experience with the management of multidisciplinary project teams;
• Knowledge of and experience with UAV contract forms and the STABU specification system;
• Experience with systems engineering, risk management, and quality assurance;
• Experience in managing based on planning, budget, and contractual objectives;
• Excellent communication skills and a good command of the Dutch language.

• A gross salary between €5,000 and €8,600 per month, depending on knowledge and experience;

The energy transition requires a massive expansion and renewal of the electricity grid. As a Technical Manager at Strukton Civiel Nederland, you will play a key role in the realization of one of the largest and most long-term energy programs in the Netherlands.

For Alliander, we are realizing approximately 40 electricity distribution, switching, and control stations in the Amsterdam and Het Gooi region over the next eight years. Strukton's architectural scope includes the full realization of the station buildings and the site layout. The scale of the projects varies from approximately € 4 million to € 8 million per station.

We are looking for an experienced and architecturally trained professional who can manage multiple stations simultaneously, from the design and preparation phase through to delivery and as-built handover. You are accustomed to working within budget, planning, and client objectives and know how to combine technical quality with efficient project execution.

As Technical Manager, you are responsible for the integral technical management of the architectural projects. You form the connecting link between the client, design team, work preparation, and execution. In doing so, you manage technical processes, manage risks, and ensure that quality, planning, and costs remain constantly in balance.

In this way, you make a direct contribution to a reliable and future-proof energy network for millions of households and businesses.

• Are responsible for the technical quality of multiple architectural station projects within the Alliander contract;
• Manages design, engineering, and preparation processes from the initiation phase through to as-built delivery;
• Provides coaching leadership to a team of work preparers spread across various station projects;
• Manages projects based on budget, planning, quality, and customer satisfaction;
• Assesses designs for feasibility, executability, safety, maintainability, and costs;
• Advises project management and the client on technical choices, optimizations, and risks;
• Ensures integral coordination between architecture, civil works, cables & pipelines, and execution;
• Identifies technical and contractual risks and translates these into appropriate management measures;
• Monitors compliance with standards, guidelines, permit requirements, and client requirements;
• Supports technical audits, reviews, and verification and validation processes;
• Works closely with site managers, work preparers, engineers, suppliers, and chain partners;
• Actively contributes to innovation, standardization, and knowledge development within the organization.

Strukton Civiel Nederland realizes complex projects within the energy, water, and infrastructure sectors. Within the Alliander program, multidisciplinary teams work daily on the expansion and reinforcement of the Dutch electricity grid.
