You are the support and comfort during the night for clients and support them where necessary. As a sleep guard, you stay overnight at the location and are only woken when it is truly necessary. This function can therefore be easily combined with studies, a family, or another job. As a sleep guard, you start at approximately 10:00 PM and receive a handover from the late shift. You are the point of contact for clients, monitoring the day-and-night rhythm and a safe living environment. In the event of any emergencies, we expect you to take action and find practical solutions to problems. It is therefore important that you are resilient. Of course, you can always consult a colleague on the on-call service by telephone. In most cases, you can sleep undisturbed in a separate bedroom at the location. At 7:00 AM, you wake up and contribute to medication and, where necessary, personal care. Before you go home around 8:30 AM, you drink a cup of coffee with colleagues and handle the handover. For the 8 hours that you sleep, you will be paid for at least 4 hours with an unsocial hours allowance (ORT).

At the sheltered housing location, guidance is provided to 34 residents. These are mostly WLZ clients (adults and elderly) with a diversity of psychiatric vulnerabilities. The team is very diverse and consists of over 20 colleagues. The residential support is divided into a fixed group of approximately 10 clients. This way, you are the regular face and point of contact for these clients, making it possible to offer targeted guidance during the recovery processes of these residents.
