Support Worker for the Elderly

As a support worker, you support clients in their daily lives and contribute to their well-being and a safe living environment. ADL and daily care are an important part of your work. You support clients with, for example, washing, dressing, and other activities of daily living. Additionally, you stimulate their self-reliance with household tasks and daily activities. You identify changes in behavior and health, report specifics, and coordinate with colleagues. With your personal attention and involvement, you offer support that aligns with the needs of every client.

De Windehof is a sheltered housing location with a total of 35 residents living in their own apartments. Work is carried out by 2 teams, divided across 2 buildings. In building A, residents with a form of autism are supported, primarily (young) adults. In building B, support is provided to adults around 60 years old with various mental health vulnerabilities. You ensure that clients receive the right guidance, even when situations change unexpectedly. You know how to maintain an overview and switch quickly to other colleagues. Furthermore:

• Do you have a completed and relevant MBO level 3 education for this position, such as Verzorgende IG.

• You have gained experience in the role of a support worker, so that you can connect well with the mental health (GGZ) target group.

• You are willing to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends (no sleep shifts).

• You can work independently and actively seek collaboration with colleagues.

• A salary between €2,735 and €3,560 based on 36 hours (CAO GGZ, FWG 35).

• Your first contract is a temporary contract. If we are happy with each other, your next contract will be for an indefinite period.
