Our systems are used in more than 12,000 hospitals worldwide and process over 800 million alarms annually (more than 2 million per day). Our solutions have a positive impact on the lives of people in hospitals and healthcare institutions.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for performing on-site maintenance and inspections according to established instruction lists. You prepare maintenance carefully and report your findings in a correct and structured manner.
On-site, you identify potential technical problems and solve them directly whenever possible. Through close cooperation with other departments, you contribute to satisfied customers and a rapid resolution of incidents.
You will join a close-knit team of approximately 11 Maintenance Engineers, spread across the Netherlands. Colleagues actively support each other: you are never alone.
Within Ascom, we view this position as a broad technical role in development, which is increasingly evolving towards a hybrid role, in which maintenance and service activities are combined.
Primary: Maintenance & technical activities
· Performing preventive and, where possible, corrective maintenance
· Performing maintenance and inspections according to established instruction lists
Future: Faults & upgrades
· Identifying technical problems on-site
· Resolving technical issues where possible
· Carrying out changes and/or updates under supervision
· Collaborating with other departments within Ascom
· Working independently within a close-knit Onsite team of approximately 22 (maintenance and Corrective) professionals
· Future participation in on-call services
· Deepening knowledge in both systems and service
· Taking responsibility for your own activities and customer installations
· Moving along with the development towards a combined maintenance and service role
Within Ascom, we view the position of Maintenance Engineer as a broad technical role with growth potential. The role is developing towards a hybrid role, in which maintenance and service activities are increasingly being combined.
This means that, in addition to preventive maintenance, you will also increasingly develop towards service activities at customer locations. You will deepen your knowledge of both systems and service processes and gradually take on more responsibility for your own activities and customer installations. Within this development, the desired progression to a Service Engineer role is also possible.
· MBO+ work and thinking level, preferably in IT, with an affinity for IT and/or electronics
· Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude
· Analytical ability and an eager-to-learn attitude
· Good administrative skills and experience with written reporting
· The ability to ask the right questions and record information carefully
· Good command of the Dutch language
· Basic knowledge of the English language (for technical documentation)
· Experience with healthcare technology is a plus, not a requirement
