• You enjoy a lot of customer contact and know how to build a bond with our regular customers.
• You are someone who can empathize with the customer and likes to solve problems.
• Our customers are mostly international, so in addition to Dutch, you can manage well in English, where oral skills are more important than your writing skills. Proficiency in the German language is a plus.
• You have completed an MBO education at level 3 or 4.
• Knowledge of customs is a bonus, but not necessary. We will teach you that!
• Experience in logistics gives you an advantage, because the clients you have contact with are mostly active in logistics.

The front office is the link between our client and the declarant teams. It is a small team of two colleagues that makes a major contribution to the experience the customer has with SGS Maco and plays a crucial role in an efficient work process. As a front office employee, you are part of a larger customer experience.

Your role within SGS Maco
As a front office employee, you process incoming orders from our customers. You screen the order for completeness, and as you build more knowledge, you will also perform a light substantive check to assess whether the information provided is correct. After that, you prepare the order for the declarants.

You answer incoming telephone calls from customers. You can answer some of the questions yourself, and in other cases, you transfer the customer to a declarant. As the linchpin, you ensure that customers are satisfied and your colleagues can do their work well.
