Service Technician for new Utilities & Buildings team (day shift - 36 h)

Environments and consumers all over the world enjoy Leerdammer cheese every day. Therefore, it is of great importance that our cheese production always continues to run.

However, without steam, compressed air, cooling, and energy, our cheese production stands still. Because we are bringing the management and maintenance of these crucial facilities in-house at our production location in Schoonrewoerd, a new Utilities & Buildings team is being formed within our existing Maintenance organization. Within this team, there is still room for a Preventive Technician.

As an independent and practical Service Technician, you ensure that our technical utilities and building-related installations function optimally. You are the first point of contact for malfunctions in, among other things, steam, cooling, and compressed air systems, as well as building-related installations such as our electrical installations and the fire alarm and sprinkler systems.

You handle malfunctions quickly and carefully, where you not only repair but also think along about structural improvements in maintenance. You work with SAP PM, perform checks and inspections, and keep an eye on quality, safety, and hygiene. With your technical insight, hands-on mentality, and proactive attitude, you contribute directly to a reliable production environment. You work independently, but actively seek collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, and project teams.

The new Utilities & Buildings team to be set up will consist of a total of 7 people: a U&B Team Leader, a Maintenance Planner, an Energy Coordinator, a Preventive Technician, two Service Technicians, and a Maintenance Expert. In your role as Service Technician, you report to the Team Lead Utilities & Buildings.

To be eligible for this position, you possess the following characteristics:

• You have a technical education at Mbo-3-4 level, for example in Mechanical Engineering, Installation Technology, and/or Electrical Engineering

• You have 3-5 years of relevant technical work experience as a maintenance technician in the field of Utilities such as Cooling, Steam, HVAC, and Compressed Air technology, and knowledge and experience with electrical installations;

• You have an affinity with a production environment and preferably experience with a food or dairy environment

• You are independent, stress-resistant, flexible, and like to take the initiative to resolve malfunctions as quickly and professionally as possible without losing sight of safety and quality

• You are practical and have knowledge of continuous improvement to ensure that malfunctions are prevented

• You have experience with SAP PM or equivalent

• You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages

• Working in day shift
  (If there is a malfunction outside of working hours, the shift technicians are the first point of contact. If they cannot resolve it and your expertise is truly needed, your manager will contact you. Naturally, we try to keep this to a minimum together.)
