In this role, everything revolves around leadership. You are responsible for the production and packaging activities in Schoonrewoerd: our Cheesery, the (Wet) Ripening department, the Film lines, the Herb Cheese production lines, and the Packaging department.

Together with your teams, you ensure that the agreed quantities of the correct type of cheese are produced and packaged according to plan, with the right quality, and at the right cost. You are focused on the efficient use of raw materials and auxiliaries and constantly strive for an optimal result for your departments.

You are strongly focused on a safe working environment and the quality of our products. You have an eye for applicable environmental requirements and ambitions, and you are naturally sharp on possible improvements in processes, performance, or organization. You ensure a positive climate within the teams: you allow people to develop, give them autonomy, and actively listen to their input.

As Operations Manager, you provide direction to the entire production and packaging organization in Schoonrewoerd. You directly manage an experienced Management Team and are indirectly responsible for approximately 100-110 colleagues. You create the conditions in which people take ownership, teams develop, and performance improves sustainably.

In doing so, you connect the daily operation with the long-term ambitions of the Plant regarding safety, quality, delivery reliability, cost, and sustainability. As a member of the Plant MT, you have direct influence on strategic choices and investments. You will receive plenty of room to innovate, strengthen collaboration, and deliver tangible results.
