The role

This is a position for people seeking variety and who enjoy working where it is busy. You will be deployed at times and locations where safety requires extra attention, such as during events, matches, and major travel days.
Your work revolves around maintaining an overview, directing people, and acting in the moment. You are in the middle of the bustle, working at different times and throughout the country.

What you'll do
You monitor the safety of large groups of travelers, especially during events and peak moments such as a match, concert, or King's Day. You are visibly present, direct passenger flows, and prevent situations from getting out of hand. If that is not enough, you act professionally and decisively.
- Supervising stations and trains throughout the Netherlands.
- Guiding and directing large flows of travelers.
- Providing service to (often international) travelers.
- Identifying and preventing unsafe situations.
- Acting in a de-escalating manner during tension or aggression.

How you'll work
Your base is Rotterdam. From here, you will be deployed nationally, especially during major events and busy moments. You will work at varying locations and times, sometimes including a hotel overnight stay.
The focus on crowd control within the Netherlands gives you the freedom to discover the entire country during your work. You are part of a close-knit and cohesive team of 22 Safety & Service employees and 1 team manager.
A shift always starts with a briefing with your colleagues in which you discuss what is happening during that shift. As a duo, you will head out and ensure that you are visibly working, both at the station and on the train. You may also be deployed to another station if there are emergencies.
