Preventive Technician for new Utilities & Buildings Team (day shift - 36 h)

Environments consumers all over the world enjoy Leerdammer cheese daily. Therefore, it is of great importance that our cheese production always keeps running.

However, without steam, compressed air, cooling, and energy, our cheese production stands still. Because we are bringing the management and maintenance of these crucial facilities in-house at our production location in Schoonrewoerd, a new Utilities & Buildings team is being formed - within our existing Maintenance organization. In this team, there is still room for a Preventive Technician.

As an independent, practical, and proactive Preventive Technician, you play an important role in ensuring the utilities and building-related installations of the plant in Schoonrewoerd function reliably and safely. You perform preventive inspections and maintenance work on, among other things, steam, cooling, and compressed air systems, as well as building-related installations such as our electrical installations and the fire alarm and sprinkler systems.

You identify opportunities and risks, and you think proactively about improvements in maintenance, safety, and availability. The principle of 'Good Maintenance Practices' is leading in your work, because well and optimally running utilities are important for the continuity of our production process.

In this position, you work closely with colleagues within Maintenance, internal project teams, and external suppliers. With your technical insight, hands-on mentality, and focus on continuous improvement, you contribute directly to a safe, efficient, and future-proof production environment.

The new Utilities & Buildings team to be set up consists of a total of 7 people: a Team Leader U&B, a Maintenance Planner, an Energy Coordinator, a Preventive Technician, two Service Technicians, and a Maintenance Expert. In your role as Preventive Technician, you report to the Team Lead Utilities & Buildings.

To be eligible for this position, you possess the following characteristics:

• You have a technical education at least at Mbo 3 level, for example in Mechanical Engineering, Installation Technology, and/or Electrical Engineering

• You have 3-5 years of relevant technical work experience as a (maintenance) technician, preferably in the field of Utilities such as Cooling, Steam, HVAC, and Compressed Air technology, and knowledge and experience with electrical installations

• You have an affinity with a production environment and preferably experience with a food or dairy environment

• You are practical, flexible, and independent, but can also collaborate well

• Additionally, you have knowledge of continuous improvement and advise the Maintenance Expert regarding the maintenance plan

• You have experience with SAP PM or equivalent

• You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages

• Working in day shift
  (If there is a malfunction outside of working hours, the shift technicians are the first point of contact. If they cannot resolve it and your expertise is truly needed, your manager will contact you. Naturally, we try to keep this to a minimum together.)
