Team Manager Lead Conductors - Amsterdam

The employees of NS operations are the face of NS. You and your colleagues are the point of contact and the place to go for questions. Together with all your NS colleagues, you ensure every day that over 1 million people reach their destination. Your base is Amsterdam and, due to on-call duty*, it is desirable if you live in or within a maximum of 45 minutes' travel distance from Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is a large location with its own challenges, which makes the work as a team manager dynamic and varied. You work in an enthusiastic and committed team consisting of managers with diverse backgrounds and leadership experience. Additionally, you work closely on various fronts with the other team managers for drivers.

*You have on-call duty for about 30 to 40 days per year, during which you are the first point of contact 24/7 in case of emergencies.

For this position, including:

• You have an HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking and at least a completed MBO 4 education.
• You live in or within a maximum of 45 minutes' travel distance from the Amsterdam location.
• You possess at least three years of leadership experience in a complex operational environment, preferably within S&O.
• You are a people-oriented leader, where you have an eye for the individual and simultaneously set clear frameworks to achieve results.
• You make employees aware of the effect of their behavior and performance, so that they want and can improve themselves.
• You demonstrate exemplary behavior, so that you inspire and motivate your employees to sustain or improve performance.
• You speak out about mutual expectations and desired behavior, so that the employee understands the consequences of their choices.
• You have a fresh perspective and an open attitude, with which you are able to initiate improvements within your own team and the team of team managers. In doing so, you signal what is needed to properly support the location and employees and you proactively take the initiative in this.
• You work in a structured manner and have an inquiring attitude to initiate improvements and understand processes.
• You are focused on collaboration and involve your colleagues in decisions and/or activities and the achievement of objectives in the interest of the location. In this, you work in a connecting manner and stimulate mutual cooperation.
• With your excellent command of the Dutch language, you communicate clearly in speech and writing.

• A salary between € 3,159.- and € 5,507.- gross per month (scale 59) (based on 36 hours)
• 144 hours of statutory leave (based on full-time employment) + extra leave depending on age (at least one week).
• The possibility to exchange 3 Christian holidays for 3 non-Christian holidays.
• 3% end-of-year bonus, 8% holiday allowance, and an excellent pension scheme.
