Site Manager Civil Engineering (North Holland Region)

From the reconstruction of the Amstel and Zuidas junction to the adjustment of the Postweg on Texel: your work as a site manager in civil engineering matters. For the Netherlands. You direct site managers and work planners. And you ensure that the interplay between all specialists in the field and the technology runs safely, according to a good schedule, and within budget. From the first shovel that goes into the ground to the last marking applied to the road surface, you are involved in projects. Or even earlier. Sometimes you are already thinking along during the tender phase about, for example, phasing, or you provide your input for designs.

Which projects will you work on? These vary from the largest infrastructure projects in the Netherlands to smaller ones with just as much impact. There is always a project that suits you.

This is what your work looks like:

• Every morning, you instruct the project team about the work and the planning for that day. You also check whether subcontractors deliver what has been agreed upon, and you address them if they do not.
• In every project, you are the central hub maintaining contact with, among others, clients, project managers, and environmental managers.
• On larger projects, you also manage other site supervisors. Not much experience with this yet? That is perfectly fine. You will be well guided and will take on more responsibilities step by step.
• You manage progress, maintain control over costs, and think along with the project manager and client about solutions if something changes in the execution or the environment.
• Job satisfaction at the project location is a priority. You maintain the positive atmosphere and understand how important it is to celebrate both large and small successes together.

This is what you can expect from us:

• A gross monthly salary of € 4,500 to € 7,000 (depending on knowledge and experience) based on full-time employment (40 hours).
• Good employment conditions according to the CAO Bouw & Infra for UTA employees (Technical Administrative Executive), including 20 vacation days and 10 non-working days, a monthly payment of 4.96% UTA days budget, and a 2.3% sustainable employability budget.
• An electric lease car or a mobility budget of at least € 930 gross per month for a 40-hour employment.
• A good pension scheme where Boskalis Nederland pays most of the premiums. This results in more net salary for you.

You can work well with different people, enjoy seeking collaboration to achieve results, and focus on collective interests. You also have a good overview and remain calm when the pressure is high. With your technical insight and clear direction, you lay the foundation for the work in the field. And you bring all stakeholders - from colleagues in execution to clients such as municipalities and Rijkswaterstaat - along with your clear communication in your vision and solutions.

Furthermore, you have:

• MBO 4 or HBO level in the direction of earthworks, road construction, hydraulic engineering, or civil engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience as a site supervisor in earthworks, road construction, and hydraulic engineering.
• Knowledge of project schedules, contract agreements, progress statements, and safety regulations.

You will work together with...
... the field specialists on location whom you manage: from earthworkers and machine operators to subcontractors and pavers. Additionally, you are part of the North region team, which consists of (senior) site managers, work planners, and project managers with whom you consult at our offices in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
