Together with your team of 9 employees, you will ensure optimal stock levels. You will take the lead in the department and bring structure to everything related to demand planning, departmental structure, and administrative warehouse processes, so that our hospitality customers never miss out.
As a team leader, you manage the department and are responsible for the performance of the entire team. In doing so, you contribute to a positive location result. You ensure the right direction and focus on the following three main areas:
Managing demand planning & figures: You coach your demand planners so that they achieve the right margins on purchases, minimizing spoilage, obsolescence, and out-of-stock situations. You maintain an overview of the larger goals, such as driving margin components sharply, maintaining correct stock levels, and structurally resolving out-of-stock issues.
Coordination with sales & suppliers: You ensure that the team has the space to tightly manage the regional assortment and the catalog. When larger commercial promotions are approaching or strategic choices must be made regarding suppliers and purchasing, you coordinate this with sales (regional and national).
Process optimization office & warehouse: You are responsible for the operational structure in the department. You ensure that administrative processes connect seamlessly to the practice in the warehouse. You make decisions on logistical issues such as process improvements regarding warehouse layout (slotting) and the large goods flows of stock items and our daily fresh package.
We are a dynamic 24/7 operation. This means that your department, together with you, maintains this continuity. You will primarily work day shifts, but to maintain a connection with your team and the shop floor, you will occasionally work an evening shift or a Saturday shift. Because we work in the food industry, you focus specifically on our Best Before (THT) products. You always maintain an overview and remain objective in this. Additionally, you are the fixed sparring partner for the warehouse, transport, and sales departments (both regional and national) to ensure smooth internal cooperation.
Experience: You have 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in a commercial or logistical role. Experience in the food industry is a major advantage. Additionally, you have experience in coaching and developing employees.
Mentality: You have a down-to-earth attitude, are objective, solution-oriented, and like to take initiative. You know how to motivate a team to achieve results together.
Strong numerically & organizationally: You are strong in arithmetic, work accurately, and can effectively manage based on KPIs and data.
Communication & language: You are a strong communicator and can easily switch between the various departments within our company. Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, is required.
