Ton van de Camp: "In Accounts Receivable, we ensure that invoices are paid on time. We look for appropriate customer-friendly solutions if this is not possible. These solutions differ for private customers with a Flex subscription or the (large) corporate customer. For this, we work closely with various departments within NS. In this way, we make our processes better and make a difference for both the customer and NS."

• You make an important contribution to the continuity of NS through effective accounts receivable management.

• You find it a challenge to find a good payment solution for current and future invoices with debtors.

• You want to use your IT process knowledge to continuously improve the accounts receivable processes.

Daily, NS sends invoices in very large volumes to consumer travelers and business customers. Claims on consumers relate to consumers who travel on account or have an NS Flex subscription. When invoices expire, our collection and demand process begins. In these processes, we work together with, among others, our Customer Service, Commercial department, and the collection agency. Due to the high volumes, the collection process requires optimal use of tools, processes, and people to ensure NS is in control of the accounts receivable portfolio. In this way, you are of invaluable importance in:

• Checking the incoming and outgoing accounts receivable payments of customers for all of NS

• Processing the incoming payments from customers for all of NS

• Executing all processes surrounding the collection procedure, including contact with the collection agency regarding dossier-related questions.

• Analyzing outstanding items and initiating actions to get them paid

• Thinking along in optimizing the current processes

• You coordinate with colleagues from, among others, Customer Service, IT, and the collection agency to optimize processes.

• You identify deviations and bottlenecks in systems and processes. Additionally, you work independently within clear processes. You think carefully first, then take action, and know when to involve your colleagues. Based on your experience, you see where the work can be smarter or more efficient and help to actually implement improvements.
