The role

With your ecological expertise, you provide direction to the protection and strengthening of nature within diverse projects. You ensure quality, integrate ecology strategically, and ensure that nature is fully incorporated into design and decision-making.

What you'll do

  • you work on complex advisory trajectories in the field of nature legislation, ecological research, and permitting. You communicate intensively with various stakeholders and are involved in projects from start to finish. You advise on issues surrounding protected areas (including nitrogen), woodland stands, and (rare) protected species, such as sand lizard, natterjack toad, fire salamander, badger, and beaver;

  • an important part of your role is mentoring juniors and mid-level professionals. You support them in projects, discuss results, monitor the quality of reports, and stimulate their professional growth. You contribute to the further buildup of knowledge within the team and help to firmly anchor ecology within integral project teams;

  • the projects you work on are diverse: from sheet pile replacement in urban parks to railway renewals throughout the country and the renovation of bridges in large cities. You integrate ecology in a natural way as a full-fledged part of the design and decision-making process. Additionally, you always look beyond the legal requirements and investigate how projects can create extra natural value. You translate this into concrete measures, such as fauna passages, wadis, or green facades;

  • reports, ecological assessments, and nitrogen substantiations are part of your regular duties. You play an important role in quality assurance within the team and within the projects in which you participate;

  • plenty of opportunities await the ecologists of Movares in the south of the country. That is why we are expanding the team. You will fulfill a driving role in this. In addition to your substantive advisory role, you lead a small team of ecologists. You stimulate their development and monitor planning and quality. You also actively build relationships with clients and partners in the region.

As a senior advisor, you bring vision, experience, and professional strength. You are accustomed to operating independently in complex projects and know what is required to arrive at well-substantiated, feasible advice. You consider it a matter of course to help colleagues in their development and have an eye for the quality of the total ecological product that we deliver as a team.
