Complex transitions require more than just process design; they require leadership with depth and a sharp eye for organizational culture and behavior. Do you want to spar with executive boards about their change challenges? Do you move teams by working at the intersection of psychological safety, collaboration, and agility? Within the Organizational Transformation advisory group, you will be given all the space as an advisor to design, lead, and commercially expand guiding programs.
Driven by the conviction that people are the key to lasting change, you will independently and within multidisciplinary teams lead complex change and leadership trajectories within the corporate sector, healthcare, or public administration. You will act as a trusted advisor at the executive level and design interventions that make change visible in behavior, collaboration, and leadership.
In this role:
you are a project leader and the substantive figurehead for large-scale change trajectories, culture transformations, and leadership programs
you spar with executive boards and management teams about strategic change challenges, organizational design, team development, and leadership
you design and guide leadership development trajectories and provide training, workshops, and strategic sessions for managers, executive teams, and employees
you identify commercial opportunities in the market, translate client needs into sharp advisory proposals, and build a sustainable network
you contribute to methodology development and the innovation of our transformation approach
you coach and guide junior and medior advisors in their professional development and project work.
Berenschot is an independent Dutch organizational consultancy firm in Utrecht, where more than five hundred driven colleagues work on sustainable solutions for the challenges of our clients. We contribute to progress in organizations and society through our advice and solutions. We do this with our team within the corporate sector, healthcare, and public administration.
We always strive for surprising and innovative solutions, which makes us unique. With an open and informal culture, collaboration between different disciplines, and plenty of freedom and responsibility from day one, you will get the chance to discover what you find important, where your strength lies, and what you want to develop in.
You will join a close-knit team focused on change management, leadership development, and team development within the Organizational Transformation advisory group. The team guides, among other things, large organizational development trajectories, designs and implements (culture) change trajectories, guides leadership trajectories, provides training, and coaches teams. The group consists of smart and socially engaged colleagues with high ambition. Furthermore, you will have a lot of contact with other advisory groups, each with their own expertise. In addition to serious content, there is plenty of room for humor, conviviality, and connecting activities such as drinks or work meetings at special locations.
As an advisor, you combine conceptual thinking power with execution power. You stand firmly before groups, move with natural authority at the executive and administrative levels, and bring calm to complex dynamics.
Furthermore, you recognize yourself in:
A completed master's degree (for example in organizational psychology, business administration, public administration, change management, or related) or a demonstrable academic level of work and thought.
At least six years of relevant work experience within organizational consultancy, leadership development, and/or change management (both from consultancy and a strong internal advisory role).
Extensive experience in guiding complex change trajectories and facilitating leadership and team sessions, even with difficult group dynamics.
Entrepreneurship: you have a relevant network, know how to acquire assignments, and know how to bind relationships to you for the long term.
A coaching style: you find it natural and motivating to help younger colleagues grow.
A role with maximum autonomy, entrepreneurship, and substantive freedom within a flat organization with short communication lines. In addition, we offer:
An attractive salary between € 4,938 - € 6,500 depending on your knowledge and experience.
A representation allowance of € 3,000 per year.
27 vacation days, with the possibility to purchase up to 20 extra days (based on full-time employment).
A flexibly deployable holiday budget and possibilities for a sabbatical.
An excellent mobility scheme: choice of a lease car, mobility budget, or NS-Business Card.
A laptop, smartphone, and a complete setup for an ergonomic home workspace.
Full freedom in the hybrid arrangement of your work week.
Access to the Berenschot Academy program for personal and professional deepening.
A one-year contract with the intention to convert this to an indefinite period.
Help build sustainable progress. For questions about the role or the selection procedure, please contact Vicky Schats via WhatsApp/telephone (0625722612) or via email at v.schats@berenschot.nl. Substantive questions about the team and the advisory group can be directed to Annemarieke van Rumpt via a.vanrumpt@berenschot.nl.
Have you applied? Then you will receive a response within one working week. Is it positive? Then we would like to invite you for an introduction. Are we both enthusiastic after this conversation? Then a conversation with fellow advisors and your future manager will follow. That is the moment to ask your final questions. Do those conversations go well? Then we will ask you to complete our assessment. Does it turn out that you are a true Berenschotter? Then we will quickly proceed to a concrete offer. After this, you are a true Berenschotter and we would like to welcome you to our team.
