  • At least 6 years of experience with environmental management, preferably within complex infrastructural, energy, or spatial projects;

  • Demonstrable experience with stakeholder management, participation processes, permits, and the development and implementation of environmental strategies;

The role

Work on one of the greatest societal challenges of our time. As a Senior Environmental Manager, you connect interests, create support, and enable the energy projects that prepare the Netherlands for the future.

What you'll do

  • You lead the integrated environmental management of complex energy infrastructure projects, from planning to realization.

  • You develop and implement environmental strategies that ensure support, administrative feasibility, and project progress.

  • You are the strategic partner for governments, landowners, companies, and other stakeholders and conduct complex negotiations.

  • You advise clients, project managers, and program managers on environmental risks, stakeholder interests, and crucial decision-making.

  • You connect disciplines, interests, and people, manage permits and conditioning, and contribute to the further development of the environmental management field.

In your role, you continuously monitor the balance between project interest, environmental interest, and societal feasibility. You are not only the one who initiates actions, but above all the one who sees what is needed, organizes the conversation, and takes responsibility for the result.

This is who you are at Movares

You are a connecting professional with a highly developed sense of administrative and organizational relationships. You combine analytical ability with persuasiveness and know how to bring calm, overview, and direction even in complex situations. You take responsibility, dare to make decisions, and move easily between different interests and perspectives. Additionally, you are an accessible sparring partner who knows how to engage, stimulate, and further develop less experienced colleagues.

You also bring this

  • Affinity with the energy transition and a desire to contribute to the development of colleagues, projects, and the field.

This is what you get at Movares

At Movares, you work on beautiful projects with social impact. That provides energy and satisfaction, something that cannot be expressed in money.

Therefore, in every phase of your career, you will get the space to actively shape your development, supported by learning on the job, masterclasses, and a broad learning environment in our own Academy.

That is not all. We also offer good primary and secondary employment conditions. We have listed them for you below:

  • a salary between €4,000 and €6,000 based on a full-time employment of 40 hours;

  • the intention to work together sustainably, with a perspective on permanent employment;

  • an attractive package of secondary employment conditions including tax-advantaged schemes;

  • sustainable travel for your work with a good mobility scheme;

  • good facilities to be able to do your work at home or at the office;

  • a modern pension scheme with attention to your future;

  • attention to your personal situation, with customized workplace or guidance if necessary.

And there is more. Because working at Movares also means:

  • trust and flexibility in how and where you work, fitting your team and duties;

  • work that matters: you contribute to a more sustainable and cleaner living environment, together with colleagues who find this important;
