Technical Installations Advisor

As a technical installations advisor, you ensure that we know exactly what the customer needs so that we can engage in targeted discussions with partners/subcontractors. Thanks to your razor-sharp analyses, we are able to offer quality at the most favorable costs possible. During the tender and execution phases, you advise on the installation and maintenance of public lighting during the realization of, among other things, (express)ways, quay walls, bridges, tunnels, container terminals, berths, and jetties. Concretely, this means you draw up or review functional specifications and designs and test them against the stated requirements. In doing so, you make use of various digital systems such as Relatics, Dialux, Evo autocad / civil3D.

• Tactically and/or strategically advise and support the tender team regarding issues in the field of public lighting and VRI (Traffic Control Installations).
• Reviewing quotes and requests from subcontractors and advising on the budget for the purpose of the tender.
• Reviewing and supervising the design and the design documents in the various phases of the project.
• Performing second-line inspections in the field of processes and products.
• Supervising and checking handover dossiers.

• Preferably a number of years of work experience as an engineer or advisor in the field of public lighting and/or VRI at a contractor, consultancy firm, or engineering firm. However, we also invite ambitious starters with an electrical engineering background.
• You have knowledge of integrated contracts such as UAV-GC and contract forms such as RAW, Design & Construct, and Design and 2-phase contracts.
• You have knowledge of LED lighting and its installation.
• You possess a Driver's License B and you do not find it a problem to work at various (project) locations in the Netherlands.
• It is a plus if you have knowledge of Autocad, lighting calculation programs (Dialux, Calcalux), and cable calculation programs.

• Your team: The Technical Installation department is part of the design department of Boskalis Netherlands. In addition to this cluster, the following departments exist: Design Department, Construction Department, and Geographical Design Cluster.
• At the design department, there are approx. 50 employees, of which 3 are at the Technical Installations Cluster.
• Where you will work: As a technical installations advisor, you will regularly work at project locations or at our office in Papendrecht. Working from home is among the possibilities.
• Full-time/part-time: This concerns an appointment for 32 or 40 hours per week.
